Have to agree with ya Spatula Gal! I mean I have nothing against priests in general...I just don't think KURT makes a good one.....I like his belief in God (since I have that belief too), but being a Priest?? It totally goes against the usual charming and flirtatious nature that he has! It makes him....boring. I too like all the OTHER versions, and Evo because well he isn't even old enough yet to be a priest and hasn't shown any interest. ^^ Hope it STAYS that way....-.-;;

Why does everyone not like Kitty? I believe everyone is confusing the Kitty from the comics with the whiney, pathetic Kitty from evolution!! In the comics, Katherine Pryde is a strong, mature female and has been one of Kurt's closest confidants and friends. Don't all great loves start out as friendships? Kitty in the comics treats Kurt NOTHING like the one in the cartoon

I do know that they are different but I just don't want Kitty with Kurt. Period.

Reasons for Evo Kitty are obvious: she's shallow, she's mean (Not an Ice Princess? Oh yes, she is!), she's whiny, she says "like" too much, etc. Also, her inept attempt at superheroing in "Rogue Recruit" ("Like, she doesn't look so tough!") which didn't hurt her one bit but did hurt Kurt and all the Kurt-as-a-doormat fanfics are uncomfortable reminders of Amanda's low down dirty ways. I see history repeating itself and I don't like it one bit.

The main reason for comic Kitty is that it would set a precedent. People would think of them as a couple and that impression would stay with the characters no matter what happened, kind of like Scott and Jean... or how many people now consider Kurt to be destined for the priesthood because of Claremont's eight months of badly-written bullshit.

Hey BAMF!, I know Cerise can't help the size of her breasts. What I really meant was I don't like the way they always flop out of her "battle suit". I'm gonna lose my lunch just thinking about it.

Well, Fasheem, I'd have to say respectfully that you're not giving the evo Kitty a fair chance. Just going by what's been seen of her on the show, (Let's forget about the fanfics for now okay? They are not canon) she's not an ice princess. I know what ice princesses are really like, I had an ice princess for a roommate for a semester. She was the most arrogant inconsiderate backstabbing sorry excuse for a human being I've ever known. It's been over ten years, and I'm still tramatized. And there were the droves of nasty ice princesses in junior high and high school that tormented me. So I think I'm an authority on ice princesses, and I can state unequivically that Kitty is not an ice princess. In fact she was the victim of a couple of ice princesses herself in her first episode.

Now those cheerleaders had real malice, and enjoyed their victim's suffering. Kitty's nothing like that In the case where Kurt got zapped by Rogue, Kitty was obvously concerned for him. She cradle his head and held his hand, and when he woke up she was estatic and hugged him. If she really was an ice princess, she would have been annoyed with that dopey Kurt getting himself knocked out and leaving her all alone in a spooky neighborhood.

And she's not the only one who has screwed up. Jean had screwed up when she got too friendly with Blob, Scott screwed up at the football game, then whined about it to the prof, and Kurt, whoo-boy!, he's a cronic screwer-upper! It's unfortunate that the one time Kitty screwed up, someone else got hurt, but bashing her as if she did it intentionally isn't fair.

To me, Kitty just comes across as a very typical teenaged girl. She's an imperfect, immature, hot-head kid for sure, but there aren't very many teenaged girls who aren't. Fact is, I think she has a better personality than a lot of real life teenaged girls. And I do think she's shown some intellegence, in her sassy lines and the way she outsmarts her adversaries. It's probably that sassiness that turns some people off, but I think it makes her funny. She's not perfect like Jean, and that's why I like her.

Go Kitty!

Now a little bit more on that priest business. Even though it will probably get shoved under the rug, it still has tainted Kurt's character for me. It'll always be an embarrasing episode, a time when the character acted like a complete fool. Fact is, just about all the x-men have been fubared in one way or another. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Even though I'm mildly interested in seeing what Casey and Morrison will do, I don't think I could ever follow the main continuity again. I just want to start from scratch.

First, I have to say that I've always thought ice princesses like the shoving losers into lockers Amy and Riley in Evo were all plot devices used to make people feel sympathetic toward a different character.

So to me, Riley and Amy were not real people. I never believed people like that really existed and I'm sorry if I came off as insensitive. But Kitty, now Kitty is just like the girls that picked on me in grade 8; snobby, inconsiderate, very much the stay-with-your-own-kind type. Not really stylish but this type sure thinks that they are something else. Think of how she treated Rogue, judging her by her clothes and make-up. She's sharing a room with Rogue now but she would have never given her a chance if it had been completely up to her.

Jean couldn't have known what the Blob would be like but the football thing was her fault, not Scott's. She distracted him, silly girl. That was a mistake but Kitty was trying to show off in a situation that was completely under control before she messed it up.

Sassy? Could you give an example? When I think of Kitty's attempts at verbal combat, all I can come up with is her "Lousy ride, loser!" from Middleverse. And when has she ever outsmarted an adversary? Not counting math test scores.
